This is the second print volume of the web serial ErraticErrata published for years, and its power system runs on Names: a person who takes a role such as Squire or Black Knight gains real power by living out that story archetype. Catherine Foundling enters the War College of Ater as the Black Knight’s apprentice and works a series of eldritch murders under an assumed identity while she learns to fight. The system is soft and stays away from stat blocks, so readers who want numbers on the page should know that going in. It suits readers who like political maneuvering, military strategy, and a protagonist working from the villain’s side of the board.
Like Clockwork by Zane Emerson
Book 2 of The Augment’s Code, out August 24 and available in Kindle Unlimited. Nate Mercer is conscripted into the system-selected Tenth Wave, paired with a personal AI, and given access to more than 47,000 powersets through a game called Infinite Ascension. He takes the alias Loophole and progresses by exploiting system rules and stacking luck-based abilities. This volume is one long siege, with the Clockwork Tyrant’s robot army moving on New York while hundreds of thousands of civilians shelter underground. Reader response to the series is split over how quickly the protagonist gained power in book 1, so try a sample before committing.
Reborn Healer 2 by Ghost Flower
Out August 25 and available in Kindle Unlimited. The protagonist is reborn into a fantasy world and locked into a healer’s path, so progress gets measured by party survival, positioning, and mana management across dungeon runs. Combat is cooperative and the stakes stay at the scale of the people in the room. It suits readers who want a support-class LitRPG with an earnest tone and a clear sense of what the class can and cannot do.
The Adventurer’s Summons by C.C. Tyrion and V.A. Lewis
Book 3 of Twilight Company, out August 26 from Aethon at 898 pages, with a 25 hour 33 minute audiobook narrated by Paul Heitsch. The magic system runs on glyphs marked into a venturer’s palms, and attributes climb in proportion to the risk taken in combat. Tempest fits out a skyship and hunts ingredients and artifacts to meet three invasions at once, and the party acquires gems that let them summon monsters of their own. It reads as ensemble adventure with a power-corruption thread running underneath.
The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound 15 by Noret Flood
Out August 26 from Aethon at 859 pages. The forces of the Nexus have ambushed and executed Randidly’s Knight, and he splits his attention between hunting the culprit, performing the psychic surgery that will evolve Claudette Beigon’s image, and an invitation to join the Grand Pattern. The series accumulated more than 50 million views on Royal Road before the print run, and book 15 sits deep inside that arc. This one is for readers already invested in the series.

Progression comes from grinding skills across repeated loops, with cultivation elements layered over the skill lists. It suits readers who like time loop regression and a protagonist who keeps a very long list of abilities.
Monarch of Profound Toxin 2 by Green Forest
Out August 26 from Aethon at 633 pages, with a 17 hour 55 minute audiobook narrated by Matt Haynes. Alchemy is the power system here, and Eik advances by brewing poisons and potions that improve as he uncovers more of the art. His standing in Forest rises after the defeat of Rock Fist Bart while the Nidafjeld Alliance faces the Gohkamorians and the cult of Moon Shall Swallow at the same time. The tone is gritty and the progression moves fast, which suits readers who want a crafting build that doubles as a combat build.
Overpowered Level 1 Mage Book Three by SeanS3r3s
Out August 26 and available in Kindle Unlimited. Levin Kai’s mage class is permanently stuck at level 1, and his mana pool grows with every kill and compounds without a cap, which is the whole engine of the series. He has acquired a run-down inn, a small town, and an apprentice, so this volume spends its pages on guild politics, training recruits, and the daily work of keeping a settlement running. It is cozy slice of life with a settlement-building layer and no world-ending clock.
Bunny Girl Evolution 4 by Sir Bedivere The Mad
Out August 30 and available in Kindle Unlimited. Elise died overworked and woke up as a rabbit-girl who advances by evolving her body through monster evolution stages. Book 4 keeps the coming divine calamity and its six-month deadline in the background while she attends school, joins clubs, and shores up her own foundations. The Soundbooth Theater audiobooks run several months behind the ebooks, so listeners are currently at book 3.
