About the Series
Sylver Sezari was once one of the most powerful necromancers in the world. He died and was resurrected centuries later into a world that now has a system. His magical knowledge is vast but his body is weak, and the system’s rules are new to him. He combines ancient necromantic expertise with system optimization — using his deep understanding of magic to find exploits and synergies that pure system-users would never discover.
The “expert in a new framework” premise creates interesting tension between Sylver’s mastery of old magic and his ignorance of system mechanics. He’s simultaneously overpowered (his knowledge base is centuries deep) and underpowered (his physical stats are garbage). The necromancy specialization is handled with more creativity than “raise skeleton army” — Sylver uses his undead for reconnaissance, crafting, and social manipulation.
This works for readers who enjoy necromancer protagonists, expert-in-unfamiliar-territory stories, and creative system exploitation. The “old master relearning” angle gives progression a different flavor from standard “newcomer discovers system” stories. The tradeoff: only three published books. The web serial has had inconsistent updates. If you need reliable release schedules or completed stories, this is a gamble. The morally gray necromancer angle may also clash with readers who want straightforwardly heroic protagonists.
